The other day my wife asked me what we were getting the kids for Christmas, which, she helpfully highlighted, was now only nine weeks away. That's right - nine - we're into single digits now, it's definitely time to start planning your festive shopping. But more than that, if you haven't got your Christmas marketing plan planned out, it's really time to start locking it in.
To help with this, and to highlight the role Twitter can play in your Christmas social marketing mix, the platform's UK blog has released a new infographic which outlines the opportunities on Twitter for marketers ahead of the holiday season.
Based on research by Millward Brown, the data shows that more than two-thirds (68%) of UK Twitter users are likely to purchase from a business they follow on Twitter, while 66% of UK tweeters have seen something on the platform that prompted them to make a Christmas purchase.
The infographic also incorporates data from Twitter's @Birdsignals UK user community, which found that 75% of users want more from brands on Twitter at Christmas and are looking for help in a range of areas.
