This could be handy.
Last week, Twitter chief Elon Musk announced that the platform would soon look to cancel many dormant accounts, which would also make many @handles free to users once again.
Twitter will soon start freeing the name space of 1.5 billion accounts

And if you’ve got your eye on a handle in particular that you like, or maybe several handles that you might want for your business, now, you can track their status, via a new app called handle.horse which tracks Twitter account status.

Created by Marc Köhlbrugge, the app is able to track your chosen Twitter @handle/s and monitor their status. And when a handle on your list becomes available in the app, it'll send you an email to let you know that you can snap it up.

Of course, we don’t know exactly how the coming @handle review is going to be conducted, nor when. But it could be a good way to stay on top of any changes, and ensure that you’re best-placed to grab that Twitter handle you’ve always wanted, for yourself or your business.
I mean, maybe bot networks are already being designed for similar purpose, and will simply grab every freed-up handle as it comes into the system. But it’s worth a shot either way, and it could help you stay on top of any changes as they happen.
Thanks for Matt Navarra for the heads up on the app.
