And the Winner Is...

Forget the Oscars.  The winner of Social Media Today's first ever "Most-Read Blogger of the Week" award is Dennis D. McDonald, who got an SMT-branded cap for his efforts.  Dennis says he has a collection of caps that he wears while walking his doggy in Alexandria, Va.  We asked Dennis how he got into blogging and here's what he said:

"My main interest in consulting is planning and managing the introduction of new technology into an organization. I usually describe myself as having feet both in the "traditional" corporate world of strategic planning, project management, and business process change, as well as the more fluid and collaborative world of social media and social networking. I have an analytical and systematic approach to understanding how people develop and use information systems. This goes back to my graduate school training in library and information science and my initial project management experiences in electronic publishing and information retrieval systems.

"I've been blogging since 2004. In 2005 I moved into both online professional networking (Linkedin, Linkedin Bloggers, etc.) and independent management consulting. My blog is located here.   Recently I've been consulting with software development companies, business process outsourcers, energy utilities, and professional associations. I recently established a local group here called the "Alexandria Web Strategy Discussion Group" which consists of a mix of consultants, association professionals, PR and communications professionals, and online service vendors."

If you see a hokie walking a dog and wearing an SMT cap in Alexandria, say hello. It can only be Dennis.   And keep blogging; you could be next week's winner and get your own cap.
