And Now, Ladies and Gentlemen - Our Bloggers of the Week - Charlene and Josh

Forrester Research's Josh Bernoff and Charlene Li--the Steve and Eydie of the world of social media--are hosting a blogger dinner here in the Center of the Universe Monday night and since the venue is only 12 blocks south of my desk and we can deliver our much coveted SMT winner caps personally, we thought it would be a good time to name them Social Media Today's bloggers of the week.  Actually, the event is Dutch but, hey, it's not 1999 anymore.

Charlene was probably the first market research analyst to recognize that Web 2.0 and social technologies were going to be hot and started to blog about them in 2004--well before the other usual suspects caught on.   She was, and still is, the industry's most quoted analyst on the topic.

Last year, Charlene teamed up with the veteran analyst and Forrester vice president Josh Bernoff to produce the groundbreaking book Groundswell, which showed how companies are using social media to transform marketing, research, support, sales, development, even management.  They now share a joint blog called, oddly enough, Groundswell.

I'll see if I can get a couple of snaps at the event which you probably can still make if you're in New York on Monday.  You'll need to register, though, and ante up $35 because, hey, it's not 1999 anymore.

Steve and Eydie?  Ask your grandmother.
