Many still think of 'content' as text. However, recently and especially in 2014, the move to images and videos will be substantial and wholesale, e.g. Pinterest and Snapchat. Also, we musn't forget the recent addition of image & video in Twitter, which makes 'content' even more image/video centric. After all, 'a picture tells a thousand words'!
