I have an extraordinarily basic question that I have not been able to find an answer to despite searching for an answer for months. My apologies in advance if this is a "duh" question and that's why I haven't been able to find any discussions regarding the same.
For SEO purposes, is it recommended to use a blogging platform, in addition to blogging from one's own site? My site is a social networking site that has a blog tool. When I blog, should I additionally post the same content to Blogger -- a dedicated blog platform?
Hope that makes sense. Thanks in advance for enlightening me. :)

The first thing I usually do if I am stuck trying to figure out a new topic for my companies blog is look at what our competitors, or others in our market, are writing about. This way, if someone is looking for something specific, they might find us instead of them.
