One Atlanta Georgia firm, Apartment Guide, is now offering its advertiser clients a Reputation Monitor that will provide them with "detailed information on consumer conversations and reviews from multiple websites - all in one place." The goal is to help their clients better manage their reputations by gathering property reviews and online conversations, and applying analytics to help them understand what people are saying and where the conversations are taking place.
My question is what's to stop a forward thinking firm from doing this same thing for consumers? I'd like to know if my neighbor's rock band practices in his garage, or if a property manager constantly makes promises they don't keep. The problem with apartment and neighborhood review sites is that they are fragmented. I can think of one major real estate network whom could solidify their dominance with this service...
