Instantly Boost Conversion Rates By Sharing Your Business’s Location

Location on Social Media Profiles

Depending on what business you are in, your location can be critically important to your audience when making purchase decisions, and therefore, including your business’ location on your social media profiles is of utmost importance.

Think about your own behaviour as a consumer. There are likely a huge number of purchase decisions you make in part because of geographic convenience.

A few of the literally thousands of examples include groceries, pharmaceuticals, accounting advice, clothing, sports equipment, electronics, housekeeping, landscaping, entertainment, restaurants, and on, and on.

Location is important, right?

You wouldn’t travel hundreds of kilometers for a hair appointment, or for a simple plumbing fitting to fix a leak under your sink, nor will your consumers.

If your audience doesn’t know where you are located, they won’t be likely to think of your business as a viable partner to do business with and that will dramatically hurt your ability to convert your business’ social media community to consumers.

So, what should you do now?

Pretty simply, add your location to your business’ Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Pinterest, Vine, Instagram, MySpace, or Tumblr profiles. Be as specific as possible, adding not just the city in which you operate, but your complete mailing address so that your audience can easily bring their business to you.

What other elements of your business’ social media profiles do you view as being of particular importance?

Having a complete profile on Google Maps is important, as much as taking care of the existing clients.
The Google+ Local page hosts not only the address information but also photos, comments, offers that are helpful for the final client's decision.

I'm a Google Trusted Photographer and I provide with high quality, customized virtual tours that uses the Google Street View technology and are hosted on the Google +Local page of the business.

Potential clients can now visit the premiseof restaurants, hotels, retails store, etc from tehir computer, tabelt or smartphone.

Hey Fabio - Thanks very much for the comment. It looks like we're on the same page about the importance of making your business' location be known.

Your application of Google Street View to indoor locations for virutal tours is fantastic.

Thanks again.

Matthew.
