Completely agree with the points you have highlighted in the article above.
The ecommerce and Social Media space have a connect and it can prove to be its core driver of sales when used efectively.
Many brands right here in India and overseas aswell have optimized their use of Social Media to amplify their ecommerce online sale strategy and has worked immensely well for them.

Due to its viral nature and ability to quickly and easily spread a message, brands that commit to regular posting of relevant content on social sites grow their base of fans and followers, and have ongoing interaction with them should, over time, expect to see an uptick in awareness.Even though social media has not proven to be an direct sales,the ability to build brand awareness, overcome reluctance, increase customer loyalty, provide marketing insights, and improve SEO makes it a worthwhile.

I enjoy to read your post and I am completely agree because social media has changed the way of shopping and now people need more discount and offer.
