Here's a bit of encouraging news. Mike Butcher at Techcrunch UK says ICAEW is among those supporting the upcoming Creative Business Accelerator event in London this Friday. The other players in the line up are none too shabby either:
The event is being funded by the London Development Agency and City of London, and supported by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, it also has the support of Oracle, Google, UKTI, RBS, the Design Council, Harbottle & Lewis, and Kingston Smith. It's free of charge to all participating companies. The programme is designed for "early stage businesses with a strong business idea and evidence of growth potential", who are seeking finance with a focus on equity.
Interesting that Oracle ands Google are in there but not SAP and Microsoft. Why?
