Though the sample size is a bit small, the results reflect some important changes taking place as the pendulum of social media engagement swings back toward the center from the "anything goes" mania of the past few years.
While reading the results, it occurred to me that ther'es a Digital Era equivalent of the "think globally, act locally" adage: listen widely, engage intimately. The leaders in your study are apparently learning the value of leveraging different platforms in different ways to achieve different objectives.
In addition to the rising use of mobile devices, the increasing role of what I refer to as "private social networks" is a critical trend that both technologists and organizational leaders should pay particular heed to.
