Well, technically it may not be only one, but a person needs to collect data, within a structured framework. Social Media is highly unstructured, this lack of structure is what draws people to want to write or share. The Social Media Users are trying to break out of the structured workflows, and the ERP applications forced upon them by the 'central IT', (you know the guys who everybody refers to as a four letter word).
The whole advance of Social Media is caused by some underground desire to free oneself from the '1984 Big Brother', (all the while naively believing that ones actions are not captured).
But creative people know that a trail of text is messy. They scream at the lack of productivity. I suggest they look at using web forms. We at frevvo believe that the business user needs to rapidly deploy and capture transformational ideas. Only within the spectrum of unstructured to structured applications can, an easy to use and deploy forms solution, truly enable greater focus and higher productivity.
The ability to demonstrate higher productivity within the Social Media environment, better be on the ROI justification plate, not just a reduction in email traffic.
So enable your constituents to be even more productive and provide them the ability to deploy situational applications on and around the company, because we all know the last 20% is the hardest and the each incremental percentage improvement in the last 20% contributes far more in productivity than the first 80%.
