The State of Social Ads [INFOGRAPHIC]

Given mass consumer adoption of social media, over 75% of brands have incorporated social advertising into their integrated marketing budget. However, the majority of them aren’t sure about how to measure the success of this relatively new medium. Uberflip’s latest infographic illustrates the increasing adoption of social ads among marketers, the amount of dollars allocated on these channels, and the effectiveness of paid social media campaigns.

Great infographic!

It's crazy, the large percentage of businesses that is unsure of how to measure the success of social ads, yet is allocating so much budget towards the medium. I believe a lot of the reason as to the difficulty in attempting to measure social ad success, is due to the fact that social advertising tends to be mostly about branding, which is difficult to measure in the first place. The typical metrics that are usually taken into account when measuring the success of traditional campaigns cannot necessarily be taken into account for social campaigns, as you clearly show in the infographic.

In any case, it is a new day and age we live in, concerning the state of advertising, and it's exciting to be a part of it!
