Jobs that exist because of social media. Corporations transformed by it. Vocations refocused. Products purchased. The list is long and varied, but always ties back to the evolution of social media in the workplace. Any workplace, large or small. The voices in this episode include a new media broadcaster and journalist, an ordained minister, a corporate podcaster, a fine artist, an independent blogger, and a small businesswoman. Together, they reflect social media at its best, as a way to create positive change regardless of who you are or what you do.
About the series: The Culture of Content Creation is a video series about people who make their own digital content for sharing - such as blogs, podcasts, wiki entries, online product reviews or videos - to learn why they do it, what they find rewarding, and how they view their role in the world. Started in early 2008, this cultural media project from Elastic Lab continues today, reflecting changes in technology, knowledge, and the social fabric of the Internet.
