It has been said that too much yellow can make a person crazy, whereas too much blue can be depressing. I like the saying, "Painting a room Black can increase a person's chance of suicide." Really?? Or is it the case that certain personality types tend to gravitate toward certain colors?
Keeping that in mind we can see why most companies use greens or blues for their company colors. Green and blue both suggest an element of strength. We see how companies look at the psychiatric traits of a color.
What about the physical traits? Because of infrared frequencies certain colors are seen before others by the naked eye. Yellow, and red being the first colors seen! And we wonder why McDonalds use those colors.
Organizations have become so responsive to a person's color sensitivity that a system of color recognition has been created. The Pantone color system is to ensure that no matter what media is being used (be it print, web, or television) the exact color will always be precise.
So keep in mind, the color of your logo is the color of your business, and color you choose might have a different, or the same message as your mission statement
