Great insight, especially the advice on
NOT creating a totally separate department
for "social media."
The whole point of a social media engagement
is that on the social media networks it is the
brand itself that people are engaging with and
the people who make up that brand.
Everyone in the company who is online and "social" should
be educated on how to help the brand's engagement
while remaining authentic and relevant themselves.
Nothing is worse than boxing your "social networking"
campaign into a corner office or hidden in some secret
"department" somewhere. That's bad attraction marketing.
