Interested in what Drew Nessier, the CEO of Renegade, has to say about personal branding? Want to hang out with DIPLO, the International DJ, Music Producer, Event organizer and soon-to-be media mogul and TV producer? Well then, you should be at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills where the CMO Club is holding its Innovation and Inspiration Summit.
Then again, Social Media Today, was given access to the conference today, to give you a taste of what you missed (and what you might consider attending at their March 2015 Event in New York). Some 150 to 200 attendees, many of them Senior VPs and CMOs in their own right, attended a series of panel discussions, breakout sessions, and networking breaks.
So, for example, Elizabeth Charles from Petco and James O'Reilly, the Chief Brand Officer of Sonic Drive-in gave examples of how Go West Creative Group used the spoken word motivational monologues of poet Steve Connell to bring their bands to life at their annual employees and franchisees meeting. Ross McNab of MediaMath talked about the Future of Media where, he predicts, who foresees a future where "performance is reimagined...focused on outcomes."
And there was entertainment: Hosted by Pete Krainik, the Founder and CEO of the CMO Club, in a style reminiscent of a vintage late night talk show, complete with desk, Hollywood backdrop and guest couch, Krainik interviewed and fielded questions for actor Vern Troyer (Mini-Me), Singer and Sax player Mindi Adair (who performed several numbers from her new album), YouTube stars Evelina Barry, Meghan Camerena, and Joey Gracelfa (who describe themselves as influencers for females 13-26) and Thomas Wesley Pentz, better known to Madonna and EDM fans as DIPLO.
All that and networking too, in a group small enough to make meangingful contacts. Sorry you weren't there? Glad Social Media Today could scope it out for you.
