The Reach people near your business feature lets you show ads to Facebook users around a location within a targeted radius. This feature is useful for local services and retailers that want to attract nearby shoppers.
For instance, if you're a local cafe in Time Square, you can use Reach people near your business to promote drinks to shoppers within a 5 mile radius. This will help drive foot traffic to your coffee shop and sell beverages.
To use Reach people near your business, click on the name of the feature in step 1 of the campaign creation process.
Then, enter the name of your Facebook page.
From there, you can select the targeted radius and segment your audience.
2. Boost your posts
The Boost your posts feature allows you to expand the reach of your Facebook posts. To use Boost your posts, first create a status and publish it. Afterwards, click on Boost to segment your audience, select the targeted geographic location(s), and set the daily budget.
The advantage of using a Facebook status to promote a product or service is that a Facebook status lets you write roughly 62,000 characters and attach approximately 1,000 images. Compare this to the standard Facebook display ad which restricts you to 25 characters for a headline, 89 characters for body copy, and 6 images for the ad group. The capability to include more text in a Facebook status update allows you to describe your product benefits and features in more detail and helps enhance a buyer's desire to purchase.
3. Send people to your website
This ad option allows you to drive visitors to your website by developing ad content and using your webpage as the landing page.
Send people to your website is useful for generating web visits so more prospects know about your brand, offerings, or sales promotions. Send people to your website is also effective if you want to gain more visitors to retarget using remarketing advertisements.
To use Send people to your website, click on the name of the ad feature in the first step of the campaign development section and enter the URL you want to drive visitors to.
Afterwards, you can segment your audience based on location, gender, age, and other attributes.
