Growth is of course massively important for any business. Each and every business owner should look at their target market, understand their needs and find the best way of position their business infront of that potential customer base.
If that business serves a community or a local area then local search engine optimisation is defintiely one of the methods that you could use to get infront of new clients.
Thanks for your comment,
I certainly agree that the amount of time people are spending online is growing year on year, as are the tasks that people are willing to undertake and the method in which they do so; laptops, mobile etc etc.
Due to these growth trends it is important that small businesses; any business for that matter, take advantage of these trends and make sure they have a pressence where consumers are likely to need their products and services. One way to do that is by optimising your website for local search.

With the growing impact technology is having on the way businesses and consumers interact it is important to have an online presence that potential customers can easily find and connect with.
I am sure there are a few businesses that resort to underhand tactics to position their own business in a better light than the competition. Protect your reputation by providing an excellent service and whenever a client recieves a service that is below par work, with them to understand where you went wrong and put it right for them and future clients.
Word of mouth marketing has and will be vital to businesses both offline and online for years to come.
Yes, when leveraging social media for business purposes one has to realise that every single piece of information, status update, blog post or article is available for the world to see and is available for the world to share.
You can not control what people like and share but what you can control is the fact that every piece of content that you produce leaves a positive impression for you and your brand.
