It is a real smart idea. I actually was so intersted in the concept that I included it on our agency "five things you shouldn't have missed" blog post last week.
It's a wonder that it's taken this long to see something like this. I do expect to see this, with variations, expand to standard TV once web/TV tech becomes truely integrated. Like I said, I think it's a smart move, and a form of marketing that will provide much more value to the consumer.
