I think many businesses are expending substantial resources into creating these online communities with the goal of being included in conversations with their customers, yet are missing out on creating a strong internal social community. Get your employees on board and then they can join "with you" in your goals to build your network!

The craziest objection i have heard? "My 17 year old nephew is going to set us up on that Facebook, on the Twitter & then put our website up using those templates on that Vista thing" (spoken in old man voice). That would definitely be the craziest, non-strategic, objection I have heard! :)
