It's just determined by Klout, they list you according to their matrix for your score.
I actually started my career in politics and was a Political Science major so I'm finding the impact of social and the internet on economics and politics particularly fascinating. Thanks for sharing the article!
I'm glad you both liked it, it's a model I recommend most often because you don't necessarily have to be a subject matter expert on the content of the community or forum - just how to best use the platform. And if the Community Manager is a SME, even better! - LD
Hi Gary, My former company, Honeywell, uses mBlast. Thanks for the overview of the tool and the measures you use. To me, +K seems more like a competitor to Google's +1 or a Facebook Like. I think I see less value in these tools for B2B marketers. Your product seems like a much better fit for B2B marketers than the others. (Not that it doesn't also have a B2C play.)
Hi Mike, Thank you for your comments.
I'm interested to see the adoption rates for +K, I get the concept and think it has potential. As a former manager of community managers I'm not sure if I would have put focus on these numbers. Can you tell me know you see community managers using Klout to deliver value back to community members?
Thanks Megan - I've spent the day restoring my self esteem. ;) I like some of the new additions to Klout, like the ability to see who is engaged in the same content I am and better analytics. I'm glad to know the Klout police were not listening to me talk about myself in the phone conversation with Chris and that the temporary drop in my score was not related. - Leigh
