It's time to grab the popcorn, because the App Wars have begun: yesterday, Twitter’s Periscope app hit the Apple store. To put it gently, the app has many things that Meerkat only “hints” at having in the future.
Recently, a little unknown app named Meerkat gained a whole lot of traction on the tech front. Piggybacking on Twitter’s user database, Meerkat allowed users to broadcast live video to their Twitter followers.
The blogging platform Tumblr gained notoriety for its quirky community and customizable design. It has exploded in popularity in the last few years, becoming a hub (especially among young users) for pop culture, imagery, music, and humor.
