I’m a strategic writer, editor and business communicator with 20 years of marketing and communication experience. I specialize in copywriting, publication management and online community management for hospitals, universities and non-profit organizations. I also have substantial experience in HR communication and employee engagement.
I’ve written speeches for CEOs and U.S. senators, developed annual reports for global corporations and regional healthcare systems, produced web content and multimedia scripts for some of the nation’s largest employers. My byline has appeared in magazines and major daily newspapers, including the Detroit Free Press, PR Strategist and Michigan Health & Hospitals magazine. My work has won numerous national awards for copywriting and communication strategies — including the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Silver Anvil Award of Excellence and a Writer's Digest award for feature writing.
I earned my bachelor's degree in journalism from Michigan State University in 1992. I've been a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) since 1996 and Accredited in Public Relations (APR) since 1999.
