This past November, Facebook announced that, through the use of their charitable giving tools, they have been able to help fundraise over $1 billion for various nonprofit and personal causes. Given the success of fundraising tools on Facebook, it's no surprise they are expanding their selection of tools on Facebook as well as looking to share these features to Instagram.
The Facebook-owned photo and messaging social app is reportedly testing a donation sticker on Stories as a fundraising tool for organizations and personal causes.

App researcher, Jane Manchun Wong shares her discovery of the donation sticker being tested on her account. It appears that users can search and choose a nonprofit of their liking and when posted on their story, viewers will be able to click through to a donate page.
This tool will give users the option and ability to fundraise for their favorite nonprofits. Even better, this will give nonprofits an entirely new platform for fundraising -- Instagram Stories. Instagram Stories recently hit a milestone of 500 million daily active users, so this is a promising option for nonprofits or any other organization with a heavy focus on fundraising.
For any nonprofits with smaller followings on Instagram, it might be a good time for you to start thinking about partnering with an influencer/influencers in your space. Brands and influencers love showing they care about a cause and can help you reach a wider audience and promote your cause -- win, win.
Currently, though, the donation sticker is still in testing mode. In the meantime, the rest of us will have to stick with the classic "swipe up" linking feature.
