Parents with teens will be able to monitor their children’s usage times. It’s only available for iOS right now.

  1. Secret:

  1. Everyware:

This app is from a new startup company that is developing a very interesting concept for an app that can serve to replace many other apps on your phone because it can manage special offers or deals, check-ins, mapping to locations, reviews, and appointments or dinner reservations. Everyware wraps all of those features into its app aimed at connecting users with local businesses. While it is similar to other ideas, it combines many concepts making it a revolutionary tool for users and small businesses wanting to communicate and market to users via location based push notifications and appointment CRM software. Users can create and share their channels made up of their favorite nearby businesses. Everyware is available for iOS and Android.

  1. Wanelo:

The name for this shopping app comes from merging ‘want, need, and love’. There are currently over 11 million users on this new but growing app that features millions of different products from all types of retailers from big brands to Etsy independent sellers. You can see products that your friends have favorite and add your favorites to your wish list within the app. Wanelo is available for desktop, iOS, and Android devices.

  1. Nudge:

With the popularity of all of the wearables from last year, especially fitness wearables, now we are seeing the invention of new apps that coordinate with wearable fitness devices like Nudge. Nudge connects your health to your fitness tracking. It works in conjunction with apps like RunKeeper, Moves, Fitbit, and more and gives you a Nudge Score. You can compare your score against, friends, family, and other active individuals. It analyzes fitness factors for you including hydration, nutrition, exercise, and sleep to determine your Nudge Score, or health score. Nudge is available on iOS and Android.

  1. Ibotta:

Ibotta is a shopping rebate app that works with 200 of the largest retailers like Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Sephora, and Whole Foods. The app is available for download on iOS and Google Play and once you download it, you can unlock exclusive rebates before you shop. Next you buy the featured products and verify your purchases by taking a picture of your receipt. Then Ibotta pays you cash to your PayPal or Venmo account or via a gift card. If you join via Facebook, your friends will automatically join your Ibotta team. The more friends, the more bonuses can be earned through teamwork. Bonuses add up to extra cash and are added to the bonus section of the app on a regular basis.

  1. Opoli:

Opoli is a competitor app for the more well-known start up Uber where you book a ride via the app. However, the difference with Opoli is the added safety factor. All Opoli drivers are commercially licensed and insured professionals. Opoli is available on iOS and iTunes for download.

  1. SideChef:

If you like to cook but need detailed instructions or are just learning to cook, then SideChef is a great app to help you look like a professional, seasoned chef. The iOS and Android app is a step-by-step cooking app that made iTunes’ Top 10 Feed and Drinks apps. If you need coaching, this app does everything for you from providing recipes, audio and visual directions, voice command technology, timers, and even tutorial videos. There are over 1,000 step-by-step recipes on the app including ones from new and notable chefs or food bloggers so you can browse recipes and even add your own to the cookbook. Search by ingredients, keywords, diet, cuisine, or interest. The app calculates conversions for you as well as serving sizes and maintains a shopping checklist for the recipes you choose that you can share via email. On top of all that, the My Table feature keeps a photo journal of everything you’ve cooked using the app.

  1. Pensoul:

Pensoul is a graphic design app available on Android devices. It shows the scale and detail of images at the same time. It can be magnified up to 1 million times without graphic quality deterioration. The brushes on Pensoul do not get distorted or pixelated when enlarged or magnified for creating details. Your artwork and graphics are easy to review within the app and you can create 3D from 2D designs. Pensoul supports 3D printers too.

    This is a great list!

I think Wanelo will/is a great resource for retails sites, especially clothing retail. Merchants need to consider adding the save to Wanelo to thier product pages if they haven't already.

Also I recently started using the Ibotta app, the way I look at it, it's more of a passive coupon app, I'll check it out after I go to the grocery and then scan the items on their list.

Definitely helpful apps, I like the sound of Storehouse, I wish it was on android.
