Mobile website consumption is absolutely on the rise. In fact, by 2016, it is projected that more than half of all internet usage will derive from mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets.
With this understanding, most smart devices are on slower internet connections than broadbrand. Accordingly I feel that it is very important to place a higher emphasis on performance optimization so that mobile devices have a low load time.

Hi Nate, the mobile is true. I did a research on Google Public Data, 80% of Americans will be on mobile in 2013
