Unfortunately I was unable to go as in-depth as I wanted to for my article, so I had to write it for as general audience as possible, which included businesses which may not have access to or experience in analytics. Each business will of course have a different "best time" to post, but for those just starting out or struggling in social media, I stand by what I wrote.

I found it an informative read. I especially liked your fifth point of not being afraid of technology. So many businesses seem hesitant to embrace multiple social media outlets, but they're missing out on a valuable avenue to reach new fans.

Great article, all good points....except one...and one that irritates me to no end:
"Studies show that the best time to tweet is at 5:00 p.m. ET, while posting on Facebook is usually best right before and after business hours. (Tweet This: Studies have shown that the best time to send a tweet is at 5:00 p.m. ET. #tips #twittertips)"
*Sigh*. No no no no no. Did I say no?
The best time to Tweet, post, or do ANYTHING on social networks is when your OWN analytics tell you. I admin 140 Facebook Pages, 30 something Twitter accounts etc etc...all across from non profit, to local business to major sports team, arenas...and it is rare that our analytics line up with these "best times" infographics and articles.
I am adamant that the best times to post are best taken from an aggregated duration of content that is measured.

Very informative and helpful. I find that my biggest dilemma is trying to fit all of the social media, reputation management, along with managing leads coming into our dealership. Trying to figure out what is most important each day is a challenge. Would love to hear any suggestions of informative seminars for internet/marketing managers in the automotive industry. I get bombarded with different companies who want to manage all of this for me but I want to manage it myself and do it the most effective way....thanks for any feedback or advice
