For the week of November 30 - December 6, 2015, U.S. brands captured 1.3 billion likes, shares, comments and retweets on content published on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Powered by Shareablee data, the top U.S. brands across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for each respective industry is shown in the ranking below. National Geographic (Media Publisher) was the top overall brand in the ranking with more than 34.7 million total actions, driven by Instagram photos of celestial wonders and adorable grizzly and polar bears. NBA (Sports) scored the number two spot with more than 24.1 million social actions, also driven by Instagram, with posts celebrating and honoring Kobe Bryant after his retirement announcement capturing the most social engagement for the sports league.
Of the top performing brands, Victoria's Secret (Fashion) saw the most growth in social engagement over the previous week with a 51% spike in social actions. Victoria's Secret also captured the highest actions per post behind National Geographic, averaging more than 103,700 actions per post published during the week of November 30 - December 6, 2015, driven by posts celebrating the #VSFashionShow.
