The news release (why no SNMR, people?) announcing its creation says: "Every major corporation is struggling with the question of how to use blogs and engage the blogosphere the right way," said Sean O'Driscoll, General Manager, Community Support Services for Microsoft. "The Blog Council brings together precisely the people who need to explore these issues together, in a productive and private networking environment. We can work together to develop model policies that set the standard for corporate blogging excellence."
The Blog Council is online, and I hope to peruse their site and write more about it soon. This is worth a VERY serious examination.
Ciao,
Bob.
UPDATE: Anyone who wants to send me to their unconference in Orlando in January get in touch. I'm willing to take any bullet for my profession.
UPDATE PS: a very serious examination does not mean a Strumpette drive-by
UPDATE PPS: How does what they're doing in Orlando work as an "unconference?" I don't get it.
