There was such a beautiful sunset this evening that I couldn't help but sit on my deck (of the boathouse I'm temporarily living in) to watch it and catch up on some reading. Thanks to readbag I have been just bookmarking fun or interesting stuff to get back to. As I aimlessly surfed away it hit me just how much is out there and how overwhelming it is to try and keep up with it all.
Just tonight I visited these cool and interesting sites and tried to figure out ways to use the technology for clients or myself:
- The aforementioned readbag is a great way to quickly make a note to read something later... it even lets you give yourself a little annotation as to why you thought the webpage interesting.
- I can become a brewmaster over at BeerBankroll -- ok, so I'm kidding with this one but just goes to show you, there is a site/idea for everyone.
- I'm a big fan of and spend a lot of time learning about online video. If you're into that too, be sure to visit uStream, blogTV, or see my personal online video channel over at Mogulus which seems to be the mac daddy of online video production sites. I've been too busy to really play with it but I intend to this summer. Then there is Kyte and QIK which is favored by Scoble and lets you stream live from your cell phone.
- I found a directory to over 200 social media sites that was just too damn overwhelming on such a beautiful night. But I can always go back.
- CoverItLive, a real-time blogging tool that I'd love to use the next time I attend a conference -- as it seems intuitive and powerful.
- And lastly, by way of Open Culture's blog, which if you don't read, you should -- iTunesU -- a very cool repository or knowledge.
All this knowledge over the course of a beautiful sunset. What a wonderful world. Enjoy the links... good stuff. I'll post another set soon. If you have any great links that you'd like to add/share, add via the comment tool please. I'm always looking for cool new sites.
