The Customer Collective, a new business outreach community for sales and marketing executives, has officially opened for business. I'm happy to admit (and full disclosure requires me to) that the site was built and is being managed by Social Media Today LLC, which I co-founded a few months ago with Robin Carey.
What makes TCC different from our other sites to date is that it was built in collaboration with several established media partners--Business Week, ZDNet and BNET--so the content flow is a mix of social and traditional media content. I suspect that we're going to see a lot more of these sorts of partnerships over the next few years as old and new media learn to live together, and perhaps even fall in love. The site is sponsored by Oracle Corporation, and our media partners have built a lot of demand generation into the program, so we're pretty darn excited.
The content focus of TCC is not social media but meat and potatoes sales and marketing. If that's your interest, please come over and add your blog to the flow. You can log in with the same user name and password that you use here and set up the "Autopost" the same way. We're particularly looking for some good sales and marketing bloggers from APAC and EMEA.
