For the week of July 4 - June 10, 2016, U.S. brands and properties captured 897 million likes and comments on posts published on Instagram. Powered by Shareablee data, the top brand on Instagram for each respective industry is shown in the ranking below.
National Geographic (Media Publisher) topped the ranking with nearly 22 million Instagram actions, topped by shots of tiger and cheetah cubs to raise awareness of its Big Cats Initiative. The NBA (Media Publisher) came in second with 9 million likes and comments on Instagram with the highest growth, led by its 4th of July post.
Anastasia Beverly Hills (Consumer Goods) was No. 3 in the ranking with 5.9 million actions led by regraming posts from beauty vloggers - Jenny Cole and Natasha Djuric. Of the top performing brands, American Express (Financial Services) saw the second highest growth in Instagram actions over the previous week with a 94% increase in likes and comments, with top posts from the #membermoment campaign.
