Culture of Content Creation
The Culture of Content Creation is a video series about people who make their own digital content to share with the world - such as blogs, podcasts, wiki entries, online product reviews or videos - to learn why they do it, what they find rewarding, and how they view their role in the world. Started in early 2008, this cultural media project from Elastic Lab continues today, reflecting changes in technology, knowledge and the social fabric of the Internet.
"This cultural subconscious brain," puts the spotlight on filmmaker, comedian, actor, and writer Dennis Logan. Hailing from Toronto, Dennis's unique sense of humor plays a huge role in his independent filmmaking. Beginning with a group of friends from high school his biggest success thus far has been a campy action comedy version of Shakespeare's Macbeth entitled Macbeth 3000: This Time, It's Personal. Dennis finds inspiration in contemporary directors like Kevin Smith and Robert Rodriguez who were able to make great cinema on a shoestring budget. In this video he talks about the power of the Internet to be a distribution tool for his films and its ability to gain exposure for content creators like himself. He continues to collaborate and create short videos which can be found throughout the web. So sit back and take a look at, "This cultural subconscious brain."
