Twitter has released the latest version of its monthly major events calendar, highlighting all the key dates for social media marketers to be aware of in October.
Twitter's event calendars can be a big help in guiding your content strategy, particularly as they list both the events to be aware of themselves, along with (for selected events) tweet volume stats, based on the previous year. This can help provide more context as to what the actual on-platform discussion levels will be, better guiding your approach.
So what are the key dates to be aware of this month?
A lot of charity-type events which may be worth considering - not necessarily from a brand promotional standpoint, but to help assist beneficial causes. NYC Wine and Food Fest offers some interesting considerations, the beginning of the NBA season, some pop-culture events. Then, of course, Halloween, right at the end there.
As noted, Twitter's monthly calendars can be a great resource, but if you're looking to plan a bit further ahead, you can also download Twitter's whole year calendar which covers the same info through to December.
Worth checking out as you go about planning your tweet approach.
