I never thought I'd post a blog posting like this. And I'm not violating paragraph two of Section Seven of Six Apart's Terms and Service Agreement. Their TypePad Mobile platform for iPhone simply does not work. Their support here is insufficient, and they're not solving my problem. We've been going back and forth for 21 days, and I've given up on their ability to fix this.
I'm on the latest rev of the iPhone operating system. I don't have any third-party apps installed on my phone. I can't edit any of my blog drafts that are more than nine lines in length. They claim that if one "two-finger scrolls" down the iPhone's screen to do this, that it is possible. But it's not. I'm attempting to replicate this error for the fourth time right now so that I'm not wrongfully accusing Six Apart of bad customer service. And, for the fourth time, it doesn't work.
I'm not so annoyed that the feature won't work (so I can't write entries on the bus, the train, etc.), but by the fact that they won't fix it.
Here's how to replicate my error:
1. Log in to TypePad Mobile on an iPhone
2. Click Manage Posts
3. Click on the draft post that you want to edit
All it shows you is a bunch of HTML that you can't scroll through beyond line number nine. This is a bug. It needs to be fixed. SIx Apart is giving me the runaround when they should just fix their defective product.
