Sustainable Cities Collective, a Social Media Today sister website, has been nominated by the judges for a prestigious social media award in the Shorty Awards in the Green category. We are very excited that they recognize our valuable work. You can support the nomination by clicking here.
If we were to win, it would seriously raise the profile of the site. All the hard work our contributors do would receive an even wider audience - which would mean that their valuable advice and insights would have a higher chance of reaching the attention of urban leaders everywhere and making life better for millions of people.
So please vote and encourage others to do so as well!

Sustainable Cities Collective is the foremost forum on the Web for urban leaders globally. It hosts exclusive content and aggregates blog posts by prominent thinkers and activists from across the world.
Given that over 50% of the world's population lives in urban environments, a figure projected to grow to 70% by 2050, then making the world's cities healthier, more sustainable and more enjoyable places to live is an urgent priority.
This is the case now more than ever, since the global population's ecological footprint is currently much greater than the Earth's resources can support.
Prominent authorities represented on the site include: Pooran Desai (inventor of One Planet Living), Kaid Benfield, Rob Hopkins (inventor of Transition Towns), Chuck Wolfe, Herbert Girardet, Jared Green, Jim Russell, Warren Karlenzig, Pedro Ortiz, Vanessa Watson, Pratik Dave, and many more.
Our work has just been nominated for a Shorty Award, in the Green category. We are very excited to receive this kind of public recognition for our site.
