The first community is called Myventurepad and is aimed at owners and managers of companies with fewer than 500 employees. We're especially interested in bloggers who write about startups, financing, credit, marketing and sales and nuts and bolts stuff like taxes and accounting. SAP is the main sponsor of Myventurepad which we're hoping to soft launch in the next couple of weeks.
The second community is called The Customer Collective and we're doing it in partnership with Business Week which is doing it for a big advertising agency which is doing for another large software company. We're so far down the food chain that there's no point in mentioning the name. In any event, this one is aimed at CMOs and other senior marketing executives so that means we're looking for bloggers who don't just cover social media but also get into the nitty gritty of traditional enterprise marketing and sales.
What's in it for you, Mr. or Ms. Blogger? Good question. For both communities we plan to buy targeted ads through Google Ad Sense on participating blogs and the nice folks at Real Time Matrix are developing a widget that will allow us to share revenue with bloggers based on traffic. Plus, members of each of these communities will be well-targeted so you're bound to meet somebody who needs your services.
If you interested, or know somebody who would be, please send me a note.
