We all tweet things we wish we never tweeted. Maybe we delve too deep into the realm of the personal. Maybe you just made one typo that turned your innocent message into something a bit too exotic for your followers. Maybe your little joke completely bombed in a bad way. Whatever you tweeted, you wish you could take it back.
I've seen a lot of cringe-worthy tweets in the three years I've been using Twitter. I think it's what happens when we become so comfortable with the medium. The more relaxed you are, the more you let out. Sometimes, you just let out way too much.
This is the worst tweet I can find that I've written. I call this one of my psychopath tweets. I wrote this one when I was having a really bad day, and when I have a bad day, my temper flares. I try to keep it off Twitter, but this tweet happened:
Is it the worst thing ever written? No. Does it make me sound like a psychopath? A little. Was it written in the middle of the day when I was probably working, making me look completely unprofessional and driven by base emotions? Yup.
While I was smart and didn't name any names of why I was enraged, I look like a child throwing a temper tantrum in the middle of a grocery store. I'm sure no one replied to me because no one wants to pick up the screaming child with tears and boogers streaming down his face.
Now that I've shared my worst tweet, I want to know yours. What's the craziest, most embarrassing thing you've put on Twitter? It's already out there for us to find it, so live it up. Let's cringe and laugh together.
