Facebook can be a bit overwhelming with all the various options and settings. If you're not careful it's easy to miss out on some of Facebook's Page features, tools that help increase your reach and improve your Page management. To help with this, here are three features that many people miss with their Facebook Pages.
1. Give Your Posts a Long Shelf Life
It can be difficult when you create quality posts for your Facebook Pages only to have the content be missed by your audience or perform worse than you'd expect. Don't worry though, there are three key things you can do to maximize exposure for your content. When you click on the arrow in the upper left of your Facebook post you have three options which can help ramp up interest in that post. They are:
Embed Your Post - Embed your post on another web site outside of Facebook. Maybe your company website or blog?
Pin Your Post - Take posts that perform very well and pin them to the top of your page. If your audience has reacted well to the content, this might be what you would like visitors to your Facebook Page to read first.
Highlight Your Post - Make your content visually standout by highlighting a post. Keep in mind that this will make your post look larger on your Facebook Page - it won't, however, have an effect on how it's displayed in your audience's News Feeds. By highlighting a post, you can make it stand out for people who come your page.
2. Create Custom Tabs on Your Facebook Page
If you've added other apps to your Facebook Page, or if you'd like create custom links, you can modify the icons that accompany those tabs. The first thing you need to is install this app on your Facebook page.
Once you install the app, you'll then have the ability to produce custom tabs and modify the icons. By creating custom tabs, you can show off key links or calls to action for your business. If you want detailed directions, check out this tutorial.

No one wants to deal with trolls and inappropriate content on their Facebook Page. You can can mitigate this by putting filters in place on your Facebook Page. Just go to the general settings on your Facebook Page and click on "Page Moderation" and "Profanity Filter". With these two features you can easily block comments or posts that contain profanity block certain key words.
