The content of your blog gives no support to the title. The fact that history shows that online businesses do fail isn't sufficient evidence.
The comparison to MySpace is groundless, MySpace never had the resources Facebook now has - and the statement "MySpace has transformed itself from the social network it once was to a self proclaimed social entertainment portal" doesn't make that much sense considering MySpace orignially started out as a place for bands to share thier music with their fans.

And of course I agree with your ice cream analogy that social media is social media - however I don't think Facebook is just another flavor, it is in an entire different category. At least right now and if trends continue.
