For the week of March 7 - March 13, 2016, U.S. brands captured 74.9 million total actions (likes and retweets) from tweets published on Twitter. Powered by Shareablee data, the top brand on Twitter for each respective industry is shown in the ranking below.
Bleacher Report (Media Publisher) was the top brand in the ranking with nearly 763,000 Twitter actions, followed by NBA (Sports) with more than 665,000 Twitter actions. Top engaged tweets for both Bleacher Report and NBA were led by Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and Steph Curry.
Calvin Klein (Fashion) claimed third place with more than 114,000 actions due to a 526% increase in likes and retweets on Twitter, driven by tweets regarding its partnership with Justin Bieber on his #PurposeTour.
Esurance (Finance) saw a growth of more than 8,000% compared to the previous week driven by an 1,100% increase in tweets, which featured its sweepstakes campaign surrounding SXSW, with prizes including a GoPro, computer and printer, and iRobot, among several others.
