What are job seekers doing on Facebook? Well, 84% of job seekers have accounts. And 48% of job seekers have job hunted on social media this year. 1/5 job seekers has added professional information to their Facebook profile this year.
What do these job seekers look like? 56% of them are male, 64% are under the age of 40, 42% are college graduates and 36% earn more than $75,000 a year.
Does it work? 16% of all job seekers received a job referral from a Facebook friend.
So if you are trying to find employees on Facebook, what should you do? Create an attractive career page. Listen for candidates and be responsive to them on Facebook and other social media. Share information about your industry and what working at your company is like. You could even engage potential hires though quizzes and contests.
