In my last post I banged on about the importance of keeping your own list of contacts but what do you do once you have it? Simply enough, you start to email but relying on your outlook or Gmail isn't going to give a very professional impression. I have used a few different email companies but have settled rather happily with Mailchimp. I use it for both my marketing and my lingerie businesses and not only do I use it for every email but I like to share the monkey love and here are 15 reasons why.
- It's really easy to sign up
- It's free if you have less than 2000 contacts
- It has really helpful how to videos
- It has great analytics tools, I love knowing who's opened, clicked, like and shared so I can continually improve my emails.
- The emails seem to get through most of the spam filters
- It links into your social networks so you can track who has shared and what the reach of your email is
- It links into Google Analytics so you can identify an ROI to every email you send out.
- The customer service team are really helpful and available on iChat.
- There are lots of free templates you can use that check your website and will use the same colours so you don't have to dig around for your colour references.
- You can also upload your own email template
- You can set up autoresponders very easily to help build a relationship with your customers.
- You can split your campaign and test different subject lines, how many clicks, from names and delivery times.
- It's easy to segment your data into groups so you can target your messages.
- It has an affiliate scheme so you can earn rewards when some on your mailing list signs up for an account
- It has a chimp! He gives you bananas when you send emails and tells you that you are beautiful, (not sure if guys get the same message)
* Okay we start let's get one thing clear. I know chimps aren't monkeys, but the phrase monkey love made me smile.
Do you use an email delivery system, if so which one and what do you think of it?
