Netflix's Big Twitter Blunder
Netflix has had an abrupt change in strategy including major price hikes and a new name for the company's DVD-by-mail service - Qwikster. But what did they forget to do?
Domain name... check
Twitter name... umm...
Yes, the folks at Netflix failed to check the Twitter handle.
@Qwikster, which is owned by a person with a pot smoking Elmo avatar, gained 500 followers overnight from people thinking it was the official account. Mashable was kind enough to blank out the profanity @Qwikster tweets in the image below:

According to another Mashable article:
"Netflix's decision to raise prices and its ham-handed marketing of its new Qwikster DVD service has flopped with both consumers and investors. The company's stock was down another 7% at the close of the market Monday as sellers punished it for rebranding its DVD service and its odd approach of publicizing the move: In the tenth paragraph of a blog post by CEO Reed Hastings."
This product launch is already being dubbed as "The Worst In History."
