Jon Ferrara is a passionate guy when it comes to most things. And outside of family and friends, nothing seems to bring out the passion in him more than helping small businesses be successful. After selling Goldmine and taking eight years off to spend more time with his family, he began swimming it what he calls the "social river" and found that small businesses were in more need than ever before for tools and strategies to build meaningful relationships with today's smarter, better equipped customer base.
Anyone who has spent a minute talking with Jon comes away knowing that the guy loves what he's doing. And sometimes after I get done having a conversation with him I feel like someone should "pass the plate" or something because I feel like I just got out of church - which is why I playfully call him The Right Reverend Jon Ferrara.
Recently I hosted Social Biz Atlanta 2013, an event geared towards helping small and midsize businesses make the transition from being users of social tools to being fully integrated social businesses. Below is a the video to - what I call - Jon Ferrara's Gospel from the Social River. Jon does an awesome job of mixing the lessons he's learned over the years creating successful businesses, with great insights into where he sees CRM/Social Selling/Social Business going in the years ahead. And he does that all with an enthusasm that he's brought to every conversation I've ever had with him.
So if you have a few minutes, go ahead and spend a little time with Jon down by the waterside...you'll be all the wiser for it.
