For the week of June 27 - July 3, 2016, U.S. brands captured 64.4 million total actions (likes and retweets) from tweets published on Twitter. Powered by Shareablee data, the top brand on Twitter for each respective industry is shown in the ranking below.
Bleacher Report (Media Publisher) was the top brand in the ranking with nearly 1.2 million Twitter actions, followed by the MLB (Sports) with more than 256,000 Twitter actions. The Bleacher Report's most engaged tweets used Kanye West's "Famous" video to parody Kevin Durant's free agency, while MLB's top content was led by the highlight of Kris Bryant's performance against the Reds.
PlayStation (Consumer Electronics) claimed third place with more than 72,000 actions, followed by Starbucks (QSR) with more than 57,000 actions. PlayStation's news of its virtual reality headset led the brand's top tweets, while Starbucks' top tweets were led by its "Happy 3rst of July" event-a special deal for $3 Grande Frappuccinos.
Chase (Financial Services) saw the most growth among the Top 10 at 403%, driven by tweets promoting its special event-Artists Den.
