Meta has added another parental supervision option to Threads, with parents now able to view which accounts their teens have blocked.
Last month, Meta launched parental supervision tools for Threads. Parents in the Asia Pacific region were the first to gain access to various control options, and the company has since expanded the feature to all regions.

Some of the initial oversight options allowed parents to see how much time kids are spending in the app and set time limits and usage restrictions. Parents were also offered the option to manage who can tag their teen in posts and check on privacy and sensitive content settings.
In addition to these controls, parents can now see who their teen has blocked in the app.
That could provide parents with context as to who’s trying to contact their kids and who may be causing problems or concerns. It could help parents identify accounts engaging in harmful behaviors.
Threads now has an estimated 500 million monthly active users, and has become a key connector for a growing array of online communities. As such, many young users are finding new ways to connect and engage, which creates another potential security concern for parents because this could leave kids exposed to unwanted attention.
The expansion of teen oversight and parental control tools should help to provide more peace of mind on this front, and could help parents keep their kids safer online.
