As 2013 comes to a close we are all reflecting on the past year. Its ups, downs, memorable events and so on and so forth. So just like anything else, the world of social media also had its share of news and changes that none of us could, even if we wanted to, ignore.
L.L. Bean upped its Pinterest game with its Woodland Creatures board and became the most followed board on Pinterest in 2013 with 4,689,706 followers. The selfie has made its mark this year with more than 35 million photos on Instagram tagged #selfie. Twitter is still blowing up thanks to the 231.7 million active users. They spend about 170 minutes each month on the network, about half posting tweets and half reading those tweets. And how could we forget, the most memorable moment of all, Snapchat declining acquisition offers of $4 billion from Facebook and Google?
