such as webinars, white papers, surveys, podcasts, and most recently with our video series, and not too surprisingly, that's who's been responding. With the apology that all data is subject to inaccuracies once you begin to generalize, we'd like to offer a pretty good snapshot of you, our members.
The largest segment (33% combined) of identifiable titles are in sales, business development and account management. If we threw in all the people who are general top management (presidents have to sell, too) that number climbs to well over 60%. We're pretty excited about this because we're focused on building conversations about sales, and while marketing is a close second we look at it mostly in its application to sales. That means our picks of the best bloggers and our moderation of thousands of their posts must be appealing to the right people. The other thing that interests us is that very few of our members are in IT, which is probably right, since we're not talking about technology here but about business strategy. Lastly, we're fairly blown away but the level of responsibility; 45% of our members have titles of "director" or above. Keep in mind that these are all titles that we have (more than half of total membership) and so we're not using a random sample.
We are using a random sample, however, to determine the size of the companies you work for (otherwise we'd go crazy.) We'll have that information ready sometime soon... in case you want to know more about who you are.
